Chito Maniago

Chito is currently the Director for Corporate Communications and Public Affairs of CEMEX Philippines and Asia and concurrently the Executive Director of CEMEX Philippines Foundation. CEMEX is a leading cement and building solutions company headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico. Chito likewise sits as Board Director and concurrently Vice President External of the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, Public Affairs Director of the League of Corporate Foundations and Board Member of the Philippine Asso. of National Advertisers (PANA) Foundation.

He is a Legal Management graduate of the University of Santo Tomas and recently completed his Management Development Program (MDP) course at the Asian Institute of Management. He also finished several communications certificate programs at the De La Salle University Graduate School of Business and University of the Philippines - Open University. Chito was recently named one of the 100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders (Global Listing) by the World CSR Congress, and was likewise a recipient of the Most Outstanding Kapampangan Award in the field of Youth Leadership given by the Provincial Government of Pampanga in 2000.

As an active student and youth leader, Chito was elected AB Student Council President of UST during his college years and was given the Pres. Manuel L. Quezon Leadership Award, the Miguel de Benavides Excellence & Achievement Award, and the Pope Leo Communitarian Award in 2001. He leads several advocacies as the Lead Convenor of Y.E.S. or Young Executives Serving, as a member of the Ayala Young Leaders’ Alliance, and as part of the Screening Committee of the Annual Search for the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines and the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Awards of the National Youth Commission in previous years.
