Dr. Urooj Malik commands over 30 years of experience in the area of sustainable development and management. He was educated in the United States and the Philippines and undertook his undergraduate degree in Natural Resource Management, graduate degree Mineral and Energy Economics, and a Ph.D. in Environment and Development Management. Prior to joining Hineleban, Dr. Malik was with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) where his career spanned over two and half decades, 1985-2010. During his last 10 years at ADB, he served in the ADB’s senior management stream, first as Country Director for Cambodia, then as Director for Mekong Energy and Infrastructure, and finally as Director in Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources for Southeast Asian region. Complementary to his engagements at Hineleban, Dr. Malik also holds senior advisory positions at the Bangsamoro Development Agency and the Provincial Government of Bukidnon.
